Hydraulic Jumps

“A hydraulic jump is when a moving fluid suddenly become a lot deeper, and this often happens when fluid has to slow down for some reason.” River surfing on the river Eisbach in Germany is thanks to such a phenomenon. At OEI, understanding hydraulic jumps affect fluids is an important part of our hydrodynamic services.
